About the artist
Erin is a Vancouver-based artist whose work explores the intersection of nature and emotion through acrylic painting on canvas. While painting remains her primary medium, she continually expands her practice through pottery and other forms, embracing experimentation as a path to creative growth.
Her artistic journey began in childhood, nurtured in a home where creativity was woven into daily life. Watching her mother paint and growing up surrounded by an appreciation for the arts shaped her belief that art belongs not just in galleries, but in the rhythms of everyday living.
With a background in biology, Erin brings a scientist's reverence for the natural world to her artistic practice. The landscapes of British Columbia, including its forests, coastlines and ever-changing light serve as both muse and subject matter. Her work focuses on landscapes and still life, seeking to refine the quiet awe of standing in nature into something that can be held and revisited.
Through each piece, she invites viewers to pause and reconnect with the feelings that arise when surrounded by the natural world
